What the Show is about and being a Spiritual Politician

Bringing government into alignment with the Lessons of Jesus:

The focus of our show is how to bring government into alignment with truth of our spiritual nature. So America started with the idea we are all, inherently free. We are free to choose, free to live, to breath, and to live our lives as we see fit. Government does not own us; government is just a contractor, providing service.

That framework is in alignment with the spiritual truth that each of us connects to God directly, needing no agency as an intermediary. To be free is to be free in the spirit ans so in the flesh that temporarily holds the spirit.

When Thomas Jefferson said we were all possessed of inherent rights, existing before government he was extending a spiritual truth into a civic form. It is that Mission Statement from the Declaration of Independence we need to keep in mind.

Because we are free and reject, as did Christ, the use of deceit, manipulation or violence we need to be conscious about our relationships with others and find ways to grow into the sense of connection and community that makes us One in Him.

This is especially true for Christians but it is true for everyone else as well.

Nearly every major spiritual viewpoint enunciates the idea that we are connected to each other and should be good to each other. Christians just have an even more exacting mission. Christians are to love every one, treating them as they would Jesus.

Jesus was very clear about how we were to treat others. He did not say that it was alright to be abusive, deceitful, and violent if we used government as our tool and agent. There was no exception, He wanted all of our hearts, minds and souls. Christ did not lay out any plan of government, but left it to the conscience of the individual, the same way He connects to each of us.

We are Americans but we are also members of a human family that connects us to something truly wonderful and immense.

So our job here at the Spiritual Politician is to look at Government as a human tool we use every day. We need to consider if government is working in a way that speaks that common understanding about our connections to each other and, if it is not, we need to change it.

Americans have had many successes over the last 231 years since our founding and, learning from both mistakes and successes we can consider that question. So here at the Spiritual Politician we look at the truth behind of rhetoric.

Given what is going on today in Government what we may decide to do it reboot the whole system.

To provide the examples of what has gone right and what has gone very wrong we here at the Spiritual Politician have put together several different kinds of segments you will hear on our show from time to time.

Sheriff Richard Mack: Can Americans take back their country?

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, December 8, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Sheriff Richard Mack

He has been asked to run for President in 2008 by ordinary people who understand what he is about. But to make that happen there may have to be a DRAFT MACK Movement. That may well happen. Given the humor of American today this committed family man may well become the next president.

Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Graham County, received the highest vote in the nation in the recent election for US Senate running as a Libertarian. He is charismatic, focused, and he has a message. He has been speaking out for a long time and his principles are clear. Let the people govern themselves in their own communities, comes through whenever he speaks.

Mack proved to the entire nation that he was one sheriff who "stuck to his guns" when he was the first sheriff in the country to sue the Clinton administration to stop the Brady Bill. Mack's case went all the way to the US Supreme Court where he won a landmark decision on the issue of states' rights. That ruling, which reinforces the fact that the Federal Government can not force their programs on the States, has been virtually hidden from the public by the media. Mack believes the people must know to do it for themselves.

Richard Mack has been in law enforcement for over 20 years. He worked his way up the ladder from parking cadet for the Provo Police Department while in college, to Detective. In 1988, Mack moved to Arizona and was elected Sheriff of Graham County, twice.

Other honors include:

Graduate of the FBI National Academy

Elected Official of the Year (1994) by New Mexico/Arizona Coalition of Counties

Received the Firearms Industry's "Cicero" award (1995)

Law Enforcement Officer of the Year (1995) by the NRA

Defender of the 2nd Amendment Award by Gun Owners of America

Sheriff Mack has been a consultant on numerous cases regarding police abuse, brutality or other government and police misconduct for attorneys and citizens alike. He lectures on various Constitutional issues, especially gun control and the 2nd Amendment, States' rights, federal intervention, the proper role of law enforcement, and the peace officer's oath of office. He is also an expert at explaining why a Sheriff is the leading law enforcement authority in his county. Mack believes that the Constitution must be enforced.

Publications authored by Mack include, "The Proper Role of Law Enforcement" and "Protect and Serve: Time for Sheriffs to Walk Tall."

Richard Mack will discuss the issue of justice and law and why it must be people on the local level who control their own lives on our show this Friday.

Hear Sheriff Mack talk about how Americans can take back their country this Friday at 4pm, PST on the Spiritual Politicianan at BBSradio.com.

John Connolly on the issue of impeachment

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, December 1, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: John Connolly

Impeachment: Congress has the responsibility to police the President in our balance of powers. If they all fail can the people do it themselves? Hear what John Connolly has to say on the issue that is moving Americans to action.

Americans are asking Congress to take action, and the action they want are bills of impeachment sent to George W. Bush and Richard Cheney. The responsibilities invested in Congress include the obligation to oversee the executive branch, ensuring that there is balance. This is in effect a mandate to police the activities of the President of the United States, yet Nancy Pelosi has said that despite the egregious behavior of this administration she will not take the issue of impeachment off the table.

Americans sweated blood this past year to change the make up of Congress because it is Congress that is empowered to take action. 51% of Americans want Bush impeached.

On December 10th many Americans will participate in Impeachment Day, with events taking place across the country to discuss the causes for impeachment and plan further action. Those causes include the War in Iraq, lying to get us into that war, using terrorism to start a war that enriched those closely connected to the Bush Administration, including Richard Cheney, violating the Constitution, attempting to alter the Constitution, which sets forth the inherent rights of Americans, using the political process to first covertly engage in torture and then to cover it up. The list goes on, covering activities that include the political manipulation of America's court system and systemic violations of the rights of Americans using the Patriot Act to enable spying on all Americans.

David Swanson, Michael Hersh, and others have come together to take the issue of Impeachment off the table and consider what the people must do to clean America's house.

On this week's Spiritual Politician, the show that exposes the nastiness in every part of our lives, John Connolly, long time investigative journalist and commentator, will discuss those options and the role of Congress as a policeman for the presidency.

John Connolly has done stories on Arnold Schwarzenegger,”Arnold the Barbarian,” during the sexual harassment scandal that erupted in Schwarzenegger's successful 2004 campaign for governor of California, on Donald Trump, revealing that the flamboyant figure was not a billionaire but broke. In August 1991 Connolly wrote an article for Spy that exposed the illegal transfer of the MacMillan employee pension funds by then owner Robert Maxwell. Upon publication, Maxwell returned the funds.

Connolly's reporting was praised in the Columbia School of Journalism Review. Connolly has since been nominated for four national magazine awards for investigative journalism, including one for the July 1993 US magazine cover story Hollywood Madam, which was the first major magazine article to break the Heidi Fleiss story.

Can the people do it themselves? What obstacles to they face? John Connolly, the long time investigator of wrongs that evade retribution has insights Americans need to hear.

December 10th is Impeachment Day. What will it take to return justice to America? All of us need answers.

Angelina Alexander: Her son was stolen. Is your's next?

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, November 24, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Angelina Alexander

Angelina Alexander, a mother who has been struggling in Orange County, California, to retrieve her little son from a system that admits they should never have taken him – but refuses her pleas. The show airs Friday, November 24, 2006 at 4 PM PDT

Ms. Alexander if the mother of three children. Her son, Jonathan was taken from her five years ago and her rights severed although Children's Services admitted they acted without cause after an investigation. Angelina has never stopped thinking of her little boy and trying to contact him. She knows he remembers her because just once she managed to talk to him briefly before his 'adoptive' parents grabbed the phone and hung up.

Now, Ms. Alexander spends all of her spare time helping the growing numbers of other bereft parents whose children have been stolen legally and without cause by the same agency that took Jonathan. Unsettling evidence now points to a system and intentional policy to take children out of good homes for reasons that run from adoption to use in medical experiments.

Americans need to know that corruption does not stop with elections and Congress. Corruption in America is destroying families every day. We need to take action so that children such as Jonathan can be saved and returned to their parents. Angelina Alexander will share her story with us Friday.

Phillip Smart Speaks out: Corruption deep in the heart of Bush

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, November 17, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Phillip Smart

Our guest this week will be Phillip Smart, recent candidate for the Texas State Senate, District 22, who was forced to run his campaign from solitary confinement, jailed in Ellis County. His crime? The CPA has asked too many questions about the financial condition of Ellis County, insisting on receiving information, information to which the Ellis County attorney admitted he was fully entitled.

Philip Smart had been targeted by the powers that be in Ellis County Texas for three years because he stepped up to the plate to blow the whistle on the corruption and graft that is taking place in that small, quiet part of Texas. Now he has been accused of being a terrorist and given the fact that Americans no longer have the protection of the 4th Amendment he may end up in one of the internal prison camps set up across the country to hold political dissidents.

The Get Smart Story chronicalling the courageous campaign of the plucky CPA will be featured in the Iconoclast, the newspaper that is printed for the home town of George W. Bush, in Crawford, Texas.

Timothy Moultrie files to decertify the Republican Party in South Carolina

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, November 10, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Timothy Moultrie

Spiritual Politician, the show that exposes the devious strategies of people in power will host Timothy Moultrie, the activist from South Carolina who has made it his business to call government and political parties to obey the laws they make for others. After both major political parties blatantly ignored the laws that mandate how their parties will be certified and ignoring the repeated requests by Moultrie that they comply, the law suit demanding they be decertified was filed on October 25th.

Timothy was a candidate for Superintendent of Education this year and received 20,000 votes in the tight race.

Timothy Moultrie has been teaching College Preparatory and Honors classes in public schools for more than a decade. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology and is on the Board of STOPtax, an organization dedicated to property tax relief. He is married and the father of two young children.

On this show we will discuss the law suit and the forces of corruption in South Carolina that have been aided and abetted by long time Libertarian from New York, Howie Rich and his cadre of Carpetbaggers.

Cleaning up politics is a job for someone with a strong stomach and a strong streak of compassion.

Reb Sutherland: The many ways the Republican Party cheats voters

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, November 3, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Reb Sutherland

This week on the Spiritual Politician we will host Reb Sutherland, of South Carolina on the corruption and practices by the Republican Party there that have thus far been under the radar of national news. Reb is a Nuclear Radiological Controls Inspector presently working at the Washington Savannah River Company in Aiken. The overall topic for today's show will be the deceit being practiced by the Republican Party in South Carolina and the whole of the show will take us through the various ugly strategies now playing out in the oncoming election.

We will also have updates on the other continuing sagas that make decent people look for alternatives to government that send the right message.

Ms. Sutherland is a published author, an educator, and has been politically active for many years and ran for office in South Carolina several times.

Philip Smart, the continuing mechinations of Howie Rich, the experience of Mrs. Blankenship, all of the nasty antics you have heard about perviously will be covered.

You need to know because you could be next.

Philip Smart: Texas is Getting Smart, Joseph Dauben will tell us why

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, October 27, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Joseph Dauben

Joseph Glen Dauben is a 25-year-old "current events consultant." Or in other words a political activist who is trying to awaken people of his generation to the political reality that now confronts Americans of all ages but which promises to exact its costs from his and younger generations. Dauben a six-year veteran newspaper reporter and a college student. He is a freshman at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, majoring in Business Admin/Marketing. Dauben has watched the story of Philip Smart, whistle-blower, unfold since the plucky CPA decided that those in charge in Ellis County needed to be brought to book.

Philip Smart has been targeted by the powers that be in Ellis County Texas for three years because he stepped up to the plate to blow the whistle on the corruption and graft that is taking place in that small, quiet part of Texas. Now he has been accused of being a terrorist and given the fact that Americans no longer have the protection of the 4th Amendment he may end up in one of the internal prison camps set up across the country to hold political dissidents.

Smart has been incarcerated for three weeks. His crime? Not having his prescription medicines in the bottles issued by the pharmacy. Like most of us for his convenience he put then in the smaller plastic pill minder he purchased for that purpose.

Today on our show we will hear from Joey Dauben, a journalist who knows Philip Smart personally and who has seen the virulence of the harassment aimed to shut Smart up mount over the last years.

You need to know because you could be next.

Bonnie Adamsson: Is George W. Bush the Beast prophesied in the Bible?

With the Host of the Spiritual Politician
Melinda Pillsbury-Foster

Friday, October 13, 2006 4 pm PDT

This Week's Show
Our Guest: Bonnie Adamsson

Spiritual Politician, the show that exposes the nastiness in every part of our lives will host Bonnie Adamsson, an evangelical Christian and activist whose study of the Bible refutes what is being said by the churches that have allowed their faith to convert them into foot soldiers for a fascist state. The show airs Friday, October 13, 2006 at 4 PM PDT

Ms. Adamsson is a life long student of the Bible. She and many of her fellow Evangelical Christians, many in Bush's home state of Texas, are coming to the conclusion that, far from being an instrument of the Will of God, President Bush is actually either a tool of the Beast or the Beast himself. This frightening and illuminating program is a do not miss.

Ms. Adamsson is a long time activist for the environment. Her husband, Alan, died three years ago of the effects of nuclear testing after years of suffering with four different kinds of cancer that had invaded his body. He was 42 when he died. Ms. Adamsson calls for a Christian Stewardship relationship with the Earth to model the relationship Christ charged us to have with each other and will also talk about that Christian Movement now starting.
